LA Centurions Cheerleaders
The Centurion Cheerleaders were established during the 1991-1992 season with a squad of nine civilian employees and one sworn officer. Over the years, the squad ranged in numbers from as few as six to as many as fourteen members ranging in age from 19-40, often with a mix of sworn and civilian personnel.
The team worked collaboratively with the Centurions Football team as it traveled around the country competing against other law enforcement football teams. The Centurion Cheerleaders had come to be known as the premiere cheer leading squad in the National Public Safety Football League. When the cheerleaders weren’t busy cheering the football team onto victory, they worked at organizing picnics, barbecues and other events to raise funds for the team’s main charity, The Blind Children’s Center.
